Normal people perceive color as the mixture of three monochromatic spectra (red, green, blue), but dyschromatopsia refers to the condition in which only two among the three(red, green, blue) conical cells exist. Who are the dyschromatopes?
Dyschromatopsia consist of the so-called color weakness and blindness. Due to innate malformation in Cornea's Conical Cells or acquired damage to those cells, dyschromatopes cannot distinguish colors normally. Color Blindness can be classified as protanomalia(Red Color weakness: Cannot distinguish red), and deuteranomalia(Green Color weakness: Cannot distinguish Green). Color weakness refers to a condition in which the patient finds it difficult to distinguish colors due to lack of different types of conical cells. Dyschromatopsia is a hereditary condition that has innate causes and therefore, there is no medical cure to the condition. However, there are remedy eyeglasses to relieve the dyschromatope's condition.
What are dyschromatopsia contacts?
The special contacts enhance the distinctive vision of pigment and different colors among people suffering from dyschromatopsia. The remedy comes in both contact lenses form and glasses form.
