Cannot see the violet color

These lenses are very comfortable and enlarge my eyes just enough.
However I expected the violet color to show through much more than it does. I have light blue eyes so I thought the color would show through well.
If anything my eyes just look more brown, with very dark edges.
They are still pretty, but not what I was looking for.
